Visitors can see the acclaimed exhibition “Santullano, a trip back to the 9th Century” until next Sunday

In view of the success achieved, the multisensory exhibition hosted in Palacio Conde Toreno, Oviedo will be extending its schedule one week.

The Spanish daily newspaper “La Nueva España” (sponsored by Fundación Municipal de Cultura of Oviedo city council, Banco Sabadell, Fundación EDP, Consejería de Educación y Cultura of the Principality of Asturias and Telecable) presents “Santullano, a trip back to the 9th Century”.

This exciting exhibition for children, teens and adults pays tribute to the largest High Middle Ages mural painting in Europe, located in Santullano pre-romanesque church and declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Proasur has designed, produced and assembled this exhibition offering not only the chance to discover with VR glasses a digital reconstruction of how this fresco painting looked on its origins, but also inviting to touch, smell, feel…taking the visitor 1,200 years ago. 

“Santullano, a trip back to the 9th Century” will also go on display shortly in Gijón (Asturias). We will keep you informed!
