Created in France in 1982, the “Fête de la Musique”, also known as Music Day, became a European celebration in 1985 and ever since, it has been warmly received all over the world (Last year was celebrated in over 120 countries globally).
Every 21st July, the European Union celebrates this day that promotes music and cultural exchange.
Proasur has been involved with cultural activities related to music on many occasions, today we would like to recall Libardón bag-piper Interpretation Centre, in Colunga – Asturias (Spain). A space that Proasur designed, produced and assembled paying tribute to Mr Ramón García Tuero (1864 - 1932) bag-piper and singer whose innate musical talent, provided him the opportunity to share an international recognition.
Also remarkable are many examples of theatrical scenery for Operas and Zarzuelas (a Spanish lyric-dramatic genre) produced and assembled by Proasur, among others: La del manojo de Rosas, Simón BoccaNegra, Gloria y Peluca, Luisa Fernanda, Marina, Samson y Dalila, Faust, Cosi Fan Tutte…
Happy Music Day!
